A little over 32 years ago I was born in a Lakewood, New Jersey hospital. Mom and dad were living with family down there at the time, for a few years... one of my sisters was born there and then shortly thereafter we moved back up to North Jersey. Where both sides of my family, Irish and Jewish, made their home here in this country from their motherlands. The former in the early 1800s, the latter in the early 1930s.
Passaic, my favorite small city in the world.
Anyway, back to Lakewood. My first childhood memory was around 3, staring out the window of my aunt's house right before mom and dad took me by the shoulder and brought me out to the moving truck, with my infant sister, and drove us about an hour up the Parkway to 154.
LAKEWOOD -- Police arrested five people — three adults and two juveniles -- charging them with bias intimidation after an egg throwing rampage targeted Orthodox teens, said Police Chief Robert C. Lawson.
This incident was not included in my diary from Monday, as it just happened last week.
The fold, hop with me youze all...
